My Life as Mr. Mom

Got away from the house for a few days and headed to Okuma resort for Brandon’s birthday.

I find this commercial funny.

My first thought was, Why do you need that when you could just get a man. I know, dirty mind. But hey I’m a guy, what did you expect?

This is just all kinds of wrong.

Brandon decided, even being sick, that he wanted to make a sandwich all by himself.

The contractors came by today, cut a big hole in the wall, and said my tub was leaking. Now they got to get a plumber to come and take out the tube and see what the real deal is. Because the house is on a slab, no crawl space underneath, to easily repair the drain. Anyway that’s what they think is wrong. You couldn’t really tell where or how the water was getting there, it was just there and flowing from somewhere. All I really understood about what needed to be done was, $cha-ching$ $cha-ching$ $cha-ching$

The water is coming from somewhere under or near the back corner and seeping along the boards.

We headed to the NC Aquarium at Pine Knolls Shore. It wasn’t anything special but it was a good just to get away from the house. Even if just for a few hours.

Brandon’s birthday came and went just like all his birthdays. With just us around.

And he managed to smash his face against the edge of a door a couple days later.

So we are headed out last Monday to pack up the car to go camping. We notice stuff missing from the glove boxes, in both vehicles. Someone stole stuff out of the cars. And I don’t say broke in, because the cars where unlocked. It sucked that they got Lucy’s drivers license, military ID card, and a couple of credit cards. Cards canceled right away and we had credit monitoring service, for some time now, and nothing has popped up. TODAY, Elizabeth goes out to ride her bike. Where’s her bike? They stole it too. I remember when we left there was some other things in the front yard, like scooters and Brandon’s little trike. I told her to put them in the back yard. I’m pretty sure her bike was left out there from the previous day that she rode it but she said she didn’t put it in the back yard when I told her to pick up the other stuff. That’s our yard. How dare some one come into it and take our stuff. I feel so violated. Totally sucks but what can you do about it. Here’s some pics from the camping trip. Brandon hates the ocean and wouldn’t even hardly go near the water.

This is how we spent our 4th of July. I almost forgot we had these pictures on the camera. Better late then never I guess.
